Dr. Şirin is the founder of KFS Metal, bringing more than 37 years of experience in the steel tube and pipe industry, including senior executive and General Manager positions. He has extensive technical and managerial expertise in ERW pipe manufacturing, spiral-welded pipe production, and hot-dip galvanizing technologies. His industrial expertise is complemented by a strong academic background. He has authored numerous research papers published in SCI-indexed journals and has participated as a speaker at technical conferences held in Türkiye, the Netherlands, and the United States.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şirin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Kocaeli University. She leads R&D activities at KFS Metal Inc., contributing to the development of innovative technologies for the steel tube and pipe industry. Her research on steel pipe processing technologies has been published in internationally recognized SCI-indexed journals. Her current research interests include welding technologies, material characterization, the corrosion behavior of galvanized reinforcing bars in concrete structures, and ion nitriding of metals.
