Hot Dip Galvanizing Process

The galvanize coating thickness on the pipe surface is mainly a function of the chemical composition of base metal and zinc bath, aluminum addition, dipping time, molten zinc temperature range, withdrawal angle and time, line speed, outside wiping pressure, inside blowing pressure and time, the type of inside blowing media and the type of inside blowing mechanism.

The main concern of the steel pipe galvanizers is to keep the zinc coating thickness on the inner surface of the pipe at a minimum level which should match the requirements of the relevant standards. KFS Metal offers a comprehensive training program on the hot-dip galvanizing process for steel pipes, the effects of process parameters on the zinc coating layer, and some important hints to reduce zinc consumption during the process. The training program is also supported by on-site applications.
