Dr. Eng. Kahraman Şirin is the founder of KFS Metal, bringing more than 37 years of experience in the steel tube industry, including senior executive and General Manager positions. He has extensive technical and managerial expertise in ERW tube and pipe manufacturing, SAW spiral welded pipe production, hot-dip galvanizing process, and steel tube production line technologies. This technical mastery is backed by academic rigor: he holds a PhD in spiral-welded steel pipes used for oil and gas transmission lines, and is the author of numerous research papers published in SCI-indexed journals. He has participated as a speaker at conferences in Türkiye, the Netherlands, and the United States.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şirin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Kocaeli University. In addition to her academic career, she leads the Research and Development activities at KFS Metal, contributing to the development of innovative technologies for the steel pipe industry. Her research on steel pipe manufacturing technologies has been published in internationally recognized SCI-indexed journals. Her current research interests include metallurgical characterization of steels, tube welding technologies, the corrosion behavior of galvanized reinforcing bars embedded in reinforced concrete structures, and ion nitriding.
